Kleider Machen Leute

As part of the project “The Library,” the book Kleider machen Leute by Gottfried Keller was redesigned. The new design aligns with the book’s central theme, reimagining it as a magazine rather than a traditional book. It features fragments of fashion photography, with the original text centered on each spread and commentaries stacked like piles of clothes in a closet.

The commentaries are arranged by importance, using three different sizes—the largest serving as chapter dividers. Additionally, text excerpts from the book were incorporated as playful design elements throughout the pages.
